Professional or business coaching and supervision are claimable as a work related expenses for tax purposes.
Medicare rebates are also available for referrals from a treating GP. This requires a half hour appointment with the doctor who will develop a mental health care plan with you. You can bring your referral to your appointment at either of our offices. Medicare and private health insurance enable you to recover up to 75 per cent of the cost of therapy sessions.
Models used in therapy and coaching
We utilise a number of models in therapy and coaching to address particular individual needs. Our repertoire includes cognitive techniques such as cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT), dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT), schema-focused cognitive therapy and interpersonal therapy (IPT). We conduct eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing (EMDR) for trauma and other conditions, process experiential therapy, creative visualisation and deep imagery, acceptance and commitment therapy, journaling and relaxation therapy, and positive psychology.
